I ve got a weber silver bell arriving in a day or two. All of these are great speakers. 4 75 no cover 5 375 with cover cutout size. Try pairing this with a blue dog in a 2 12 combination.

Preference obviously but what are the key differences bet. Seems like most players opt for a ceramic silver bell instead of the alnico why is this. It seems to have scooped mids to my ear compared to the other speakers. Second is the celestion alnico gold.

But something was missing. My current setup is the best of both worlds a silver bell on the left and weber blue dog 30w on the right side perfect for recording if you ask me. Great low end from the silver bell while retaining clarity and definition from the blue dog. First is the silver bell.

I believe the weber 1225 is designed to imitate the celestion greenback cuz it mentions the model number g12m 25. The silver bell does all of my dirty tones perfectly. Or a pair of each in a 4 12. The silver bell has less coloration tighter and more pronounced bass and really sweet breakup.

On the weber site it says the silver bell is designed to imitate the classic marshall stack tone. Prior to the silver bell i used a celestion g12h30 warehouse reaper alnico blue and weber ceramic blue dog. Here s a quick demonstration comparing these two speakers through a marshall 1987. Also available with weber s hemp cone which is a smoother darker tone with less attack great for taming treble.
