Place the optic in the car window mount head and flip the throw lever counter clockwise to secure the quickrelease plate. Thread the quick release plate onto the tripod adapter of the optic. It was an economical alternative with the quick release base that is compatible with my vortex light weight tri pod for my spotting scope. Provides compact solid support for spotting scopes and binoculars and the rugged design mixed with the smooth action allows you to get right on target with ease.

Height 3 inches max load 5 pounds folded height 3 inches. Super simple to set up and quick to attach and detach the vortex optics car window mount gives you superior viewing within seconds.

I paid extra for the vortex window mount to insure it would be compatible with my tripod. 4 0 out of 5 stars nice window mount reviewed in the united states on february 1 2019 it is a good window mount but if they added a detachable mount like on the tripod where you could switch from window mount to tripod and back it would be 100 better. This ball type window mount by vortex is rock solid and it s simple design allows for multiple angle viewing very quick to acquire target no matter the angle of view a quality built and easy to use product that is backed by an outstanding warranty quick release plate allows rapid switch out from window to vortex summit tripod 5 stars. Reviewed in the united states on october 22 2018 why does the vortex optics summit car window mount take a different size quick release plate than the vortex tripod.
