The cast vinyl used for vehicle wraps will only adhere to paint that is in original oem or like new very good quality condition. The vinyl wrap is like a big sticker and it follows all the contour of a vehicle including following the indentations of any dents and dings.

It will however stick to primer so grab a rattle can and get wrapping. Simply anything the vinyl will stick to both exterior and interior as well as marine and architectural applications. Vinyl wraps can give you unparalleled performance and style but like everything else they can be scarped damaged and torn. If you ve got an area on your vehicle s wrap that has been ripped or torn and there is no significant body damage that you can t just bondo up you may want to patch the wrap until it s time to rewrap your ride altogether.

Before vinyl wrapping a section of your car drag your hand across it to feel for any protrusions that you will have to get rid of for a nice unblemished finish. The coverage can still look really good but that will depend on the size of the dent and the design of vehicle wrap.
